Htaccess Redirect
I always seen post on SEO forums asking why does my website have a different Pagerank for my URL with and without the www.
The Internet sees your website as yoururl.com and www.yoururl.com unless you tell it to only see it as one or the other.
The benefit of redirecting one of you URL's to the other is the Pagerank and strength benefits.
Image if you are building backlinks to your domain name and you get a backlink to yoururl.com and another to www.yoururl.com Now you have two backlinks but they are pointing at two URL's instead of one.
To correct this you can use a Htaccess redirect.
It's very simple, just open your Htaccess file. If you don't have one you can create one by opening notepad or an editor and name it .Htaccess
Now just copy and past the code below into the .Htaccess file and your URL's will point to one now.
Insert your URL when mine is at.
Take out the br tags that blogger loves to add to my post.
