Fantasy Art is an art form of make believe characters and design. Much of the fantasy art you will find will be comprised of designs about fairies, mermaids, dragons, spirits and Gothic themes to name a few. If you are into role playing games or have heard of them think along those lines. Dungeons and Dragons and games of those nature characters could be translated into fantasy art.
There are several well know fantasy art websites such as Elfwood and Epilogue. Elfwood.com claims to be the biggest science fiction and fantasy art website in the world. I have not been able to find another fantasy art website to rival it so it just might be true. Epilogue.com is not only an online fantasy art website, it is also an art community. Talented artists and illustrators will have the opportunity to upload their art work for the entire world to see.
Fantasy art is a popular art form among all ages. There is an annual World Fantasy Convention where fantasy art artist from across the world can enter their work to be judged. The World Fantasy Convention is sponsored by LASTSFA ( Latham Albany Schenectady Troy) a society dedicated to promoting Science fiction. There is a 150.00 dollar entry fee and prizes will be awarded to the best artist.
I actually stumbled across a cool website a few months ago created by Frank Wu. This artist creates wild fantasy art videos as will as exceptional drawings.
